For people new to this site, here is a good place to begin. First off, I recommend that you read everything. While most of the stuff here is rules, there's a decent amount of things that you should know about the type of community that we want to create here. So while the cbox is for idle chatter, it is in yours and our best interest that you read the rules before asking a question that may already be clearly answered.
Every RP is nothing without the community that supports it. This is why we try to keep our cbox in the best state possible, whether it be so that everyone is enjoying themselves, or to simply give off a good impression to those who may simply be looking around. That said, the cbox is there to socialize. By all means, get out there, talk to people, and integrate yourself into the community. I will only ask that you please be respectful.
When we say "respectful," we mean keep unnecessary drama and/or pointless arguments out of the cbox, for one. Talking about your problems and/or generally being attention seeking not only makes the box awkward, it's off-putting. Not much will happen in response except an immediate change in subject. However, we will not tolerate people who continuously bring unnecessary business into the box.
Harassment falls into the same category. Should you be harassing someone, you'll be asked to stop the first time. We do this because, unfortunately, some people do not pick up well on social cues/hints that they may be annoying someone, regardless of good or bad intentions. Further harassment after being warned will be dealt with accordingly.
Please do not argue with other members. Even more so, do not argue with the staff. If a staff member tells you that you can't do something, there is a reason for it. Please don't get all bent out of shape about it. This isn't to say we aren't open to suggestions, of course. If you have an idea or suggestion, then by all means, make your case. We have been on sites in the past where admins seem to believe that being an admin suddenly makes their word law, or make them incapable of flaw. If it is not said elsewhere, we will say now that the community is above the staff in importance. Our job isn't to boss people around, but to create the most enjoyable atmosphere possible for the community we cater to. Likewise, we only ask for respect as a fellow member of the community.
