The first thing that we ask, above everything else, is to please be as realistic as possible. While we are an RP site about Angels and Demons in a fictional setting, real world laws still apply. Along that topic, please no Godmodding, Infomodding, or Powerplaying either. Powerplaying is when you make yourself out to be invincible, or otherwise far more powerful than you logically should be. This could range from taking an attack your character normally wouldn't survive to performing an unreasonable feat. Godmodding is when you make a post where you basically control someone else's character or without their permission. An example would be picking up someone's character without their writer's consent and tossing them down onto the ground as if it had definitely happened, regardless of whether or not the other person could prevent it. Lastly, infomodding is when your character simply knows or is suspicious about something they normally wouldn't. A good example would be a convincing androgynous male pretending to be female. Infomodding would be simply figuring it out or have some sort of baseless suspicion. Try to avoid these behaviors. At the same time, the staff will do its best to keep things fair for everyone.
Our forum uses Liquid Time for IC interactions. To explain liquid time simply, your character can be in multiple IC threads at any given time. The order in which each thread's events happened can be determined based on what makes more sense. However, make sure to prevent anything that would be considered a time paradox.
Please do not post in an IC thread twice in a row. It is redundant in the fact that you may as well make it into a single IC post. We also discourage RPing with yourself. In other words, if you have two characters, please don't have a thread where you simply talk to yourself. In large group threads, it is acceptable to have more than one of your characters join in. We only ask that you try to limit your interactions between them. If it is a small group thread where interaction is inevitable (3 or 4 people), it is probably best to avoid putting multiple of your characters in.
For IC posts, we have a minimum word count to keep things at an acceptable level of quality. That said, we understand that there are different levels of writing ability, and often times people may be left with very little to say when their turn to talk comes. As such, we only ask for a minimum of 100 words per post which should be easily doable in any situation. Of course, you're more than welcome to make longer posts. By all means, push the limits of your creativity!
Avoid posting in the RP area until your profile has been approved. You'll know it has been approved when a staff member has approved it, moved it to the accepted section, and added your profile to the appropriate group. That said, please do not pester the staff about accepting profiles. We are generally very fast about it, but pestering us won't get it done any faster. In fact, it is more likely to have the opposite effect.
Most importantly, take it easy! This is all for the enjoyment of everyone, so don't take it too seriously. Just have a good time.
