Name: Seth Nathaniel Titus
Age: 20
Date of Birth: April 21
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Asexual
Face Claim: Koon Aguero Agnis from Tower of God
Appearance:
Height: 5’10’’
Distinguishing Features:
Seth keeps both his halo and wings put away maintaining a humanoid appearance more often than not. However, when they do show up, one will notice his halo is a bright silvery white while his wings are surprisingly small white feather coated constructs. Despite his wings being as small as they are, he can use them to float for short intervals of time if not fly long distances. He’s very self-conscious about them, finding that even when he goes to the trouble of altering his appearance, they don’t change size. His mother has suggested it is his youth that has kept them from maturing completely, but whether this is actually the case or not, he doesn’t know and argues that he “doesn’t care anyways”. Thus, he forces himself to walk wherever he goes.
His skin is completely devoid of tattoos or other markings, giving a pristine appearance. Markings simply do not interest him, but he is not adverse to someone else having them. One will notice, however, that both of his ears are pierced in a singlet style at the lobe. He puts simple white or blue studs in them most frequently. However, at formals, he sometimes employs classier looking things.
Character Class: Angel
Residency: Business District – Polaris University dorms
Likes: Classical music, Books of all kinds, Strategy games, Sweets, High places, Star gazing, Birds
Dislikes: Closed spaces, Cold weather, Physical exercise, Sour foods, Disorder, Crying, Bugs
Personality:
Upon first meeting Seth, one will notice how naturally serene but proper he is. His voice is flattened but not monotone, and his word choice is careful, thoughtful, and considerate at the very least. His glances are smooth, and his features are subtle. He wears the appropriate expression for the situation, and he is never one to laugh unless another is. Overall, he is someone that could easily fade into the background of another’s mind should they not realize that the glassy conversation one shared with him was nothing more than careful dance meant to get something out of someone else. Yes, behind this cool, classy exterior he weaves before himself, Seth is much more than he initially seems.
The chess-master of his own life, Seth plays his games even in the smallest situations. Everything from his actions to his thoughts are monitored by Seth himself, and he works carefully taking each piece apart and hyper analyzing it in hopes of improving in order to ‘win’. He tries very hard to read into others, to understand them and figure out what they are thinking. He thinks it’s a way to control a situation, and this desire for control is a large part of his natural psyche. When he has even the smallest ounce of control, he feels that he can manipulate the situation in some form or fashion to come out on top. His greatest fear, then, is losing complete control somehow.
Seth is someone who naturally thinks highly of himself, believing fully that his grades are a reflection of that among other things. His pride does not make him weak, however, as he is always looking to move forwards rather than fall stagnant. He already believes he is one of the smartest around but wants to prove it time and again and become the best without question. His ambition is what makes him strong, or so he believes. Despite this, his ambition is surprisingly blind. While he feels as though he can do anything and everything he sets his mind to, while he has that innate confidence in himself, Seth has no idea what he wants to do with his life. He has no other goal than to know everything and control what he can. It makes him flippant towards a situation even when he’s certain of himself.
One of the most honest parts about Seth is his temper. It is one of the things he struggles desperately to control and sometimes fails to. It sprouts mostly from a lack of control and frustration at others. He can be surprisingly fiery and quick to burn his bridges even when desperately trying to regain composure. Once one manages to hit his anger buttons a few times, Seth is quick to retaliate vocally. His words are sharp, biting, and socially cutting. He will pick at even the smallest of details in a person in order to bitter tear at them when in such a mood. He can barely hold anything back, anything at all. To say the least, he hates this part of himself the most.
History:
The angelic Titus family is a large one with Seth’s grandparents having eight and each of those children having many children. Seth’s father Solomon had always dreamed of having a large family of his own, and his mother Sarah, who came from a very small family initially, shared this dream. Thus, when they fell in love, they decided to have no less than four children. They ended up with five, Seth and his twin brother being the last of the group. Thankfully the family finances were decent enough to keep a large house and each person fed, yet the principal of hard work and independence was instilled in the children early on. Each was assigned personal as well as familial chores and taught to micro-manage their lives early on. Seth was no exception to this and followed every rule even when some of his more boisterous siblings rebelled. He saw too many arguments already, and none of the children won, so what was the point? His twin seemed to believe there was some point, however, and made enough noise for the both of them.
With his brother always being the loudest of the pair, Seth fell into an even quieter demeanor as time went on. Despite this, he did well in school overall. Due to combined natural talent and effort on his part, he always made above average grades even in the subjects that didn’t necessarily appeal to him inherently. Early on, he found a love of strategy games and puzzles, and though he wasn’t the best at them, they held his interest long enough for him to eventually figure them out. His strength in academia was counterbalanced with a weakness around his peers. He found it hard to talk with them, hard to relate to any of their interests. Most of them bored him easily, and those that didn’t, he held a natural contempt towards them for whatever reason. His mother fretted quite a lot, trying to make sure he had ‘friends’ by having him meet the children of her friends, yet through all of his elementary schooling, he only maintained one friend whom he’d come to like on his own.
At the very least, as time went on, he seemed to do better with older peers. He was always in the more mature crowds, the thinker class of sorts. He enjoyed their company as much as their rivalry when it came to the games he played with them. However, the more he played, the more hot tempered he got- especially when he happened to lose. For as calm as he appeared more than not, he could shift moods faster than one could start a fire. Some were able to brush it off, finding that he was mostly all bark and no bite, but others quickly evacuated his area, afraid of his tongue lashings. He held them back from no one, even adults whom he had once respected simply because they were older than him. He hated losing in any form or fashion, and there was nothing his family or the school could really do to curb his mannerisms.
By the time he graduated, Seth had seated himself in the top five persons of his class, being number three among them. He was mildly bitter, to say the least, but those better than him had heard enough of his tongue lashings in the past and had distributed their own to knock him down a couple notches. Rather than fling himself into the workforce that he honestly had no idea what he wanted to do with, Seth went to college instead. His studies in the past few years have been broad, and it seems little has held his attention and regard for long enough that he might choose to major in it. While his parents are mildly worried, they don’t have too much time to chastise him for not having made a decision. Angels “live a long time” after all- heh. He had time too. Currently, he is studying something akin to botanical science, but who knows how long that will last.
Notes:
* Seth has 4 siblings, his twin brother included. The elder three consist of the eldest boy and two twin girls. Twins are somewhat common in the Titus family by nature.
* Like most of the Titus clan, Seth has the ability to manipulate some aspect of light. His innate power comes in the form of creating small balls of light approximately 3cm in diameter. He can make up to 5 of them at a time though the more he makes, the more exhausting it is to maintain them. They do not burn when touched nor do they do anything but provide small amounts of light to an area in the general vicinity of him. They are moderately useful when walking at night, however.
* He's a sucker for candy and can be bribed with the right sweets. The more sugary it happens to be, the more he generally likes whatever it is.
* Despite being otherwise physically weak, he is exceptionally good at climbing trees and can be seen sitting in them reading.
